This travel assignment will have you performing advanced CT imaging procedures alongside seasoned professionals, providing safe, age-appropriate care while learning a variety of workplace and leadership styles that will enrich your career long-term.
Schedule/Hours:
- 3x12 night shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
- Hours: 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certifications
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- At least 1 year of radiology experience required; CT experience strongly preferred
- Proficient communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting; detail-oriented and customer service focused
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain complete clinical histories, verify proper orders, and assess for contraindications
- Set up equipment and position patients for safe, high-quality CT studies
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control policies
- Provide compassionate pre- and post-procedural care, maintaining patients’ dignity and comfort
- Respond swiftly to emergencies; assist with life support equipment as needed
- Ensure all images are properly identified and delivered to the radiologist/PACS system
- Participate in continuing education, staff training, and quality assurance initiatives
