CT Technologist - Austell, GA

Austell, GA – Night Shift Opportunity – Contract Position

This role requires a skilled CT technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services while maintaining patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will be dependable, accountable, and adaptable to varied work hours to meet departmental needs during the night shift.

Responsibilities:

• Verify clinician orders and obtain thorough patient histories before procedures
• Follow established protocols for contrast media administration and safety precautions
• Produce clear and clinically acceptable CT images, reviewing them for quality
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and cleanliness
• Prepare patients—explaining procedures clearly to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation
• Monitor patients during procedures, responding promptly to emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians and technologists, assisting across modalities as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and complete all required education and training
• Restock supplies, maintain workplace organization, and perform clerical duties as necessary
• Adhere to regulatory and quality standards, including infection control and radiation safety

Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT) certifications required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology; CT experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, physicians, and team members
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and quality control procedures for CT imaging
