Take on a dynamic opportunity working with advanced imaging technology in the CT/CT-PET discipline. This contract role calls for an experienced professional who is confident working autonomously while collaborating efficiently with healthcare teams. Flexibility and reliability are key, as patient care needs determine varying responsibilities throughout your shift.
Schedule:
- Night shifts
- Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Active certifications required: ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology experience; less than 1 year of CT experience will be considered
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clinicians, patients, and family members
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with high attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical setting
- Proficient in all CT modalities, patient positioning, exposure settings, and ensuring radiation protection
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify provider orders and patient identification using two unique identifiers
- Prepare and position patients for CT and CT/PET procedures, ensuring privacy and comfort
- Obtain and document patient histories and perform pre-procedural verification
- Operate, adjust, and maintain imaging equipment for quality diagnostic outcomes while minimizing radiation exposure
- Review and release diagnostic images, responding to clinical emergencies and assisting with restocking and safety routines as needed
- Perform quality control checks, send studies to PACS, and ensure accurate patient records
- Provide preparatory instruction to patients and address questions or concerns with clear communication
- Follow protocols for equipment sterilization and adhere to hospital and department policies
