Step into a vital role utilizing your expertise in advanced imaging, specifically CT and CT/PET technology. This contract opportunity calls for a self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable professional committed to delivering exceptional, safe, age-appropriate patient care. You will be responsible for a wide variety of technical procedures as you independently conduct diagnostic imaging, ensuring both the comfort and dignity of each patient.
Schedule:
- Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Night Shift)
- Must be flexible with work hours to accommodate department needs
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Current ARRT Radiography and ARRT Computed Tomography certifications
- Active BLS certification (or ARC-BLS/BLS-I)
- At least 1 year of Radiology experience required; CT experience preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills
- Ability to function independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Competent in all aspects of CT including positioning, exposure, radiation safety, and quality control
- Detail-oriented with effective multitasking and prioritization abilities
Responsibilities:
- Verify orders, gather clinical histories, maintain patient identification protocols
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and uphold privacy and patient comfort
- Administer contrast media per guidelines, monitor for adverse reactions
- Execute sterile technique, maintain equipment, and complete quality control tests
- Review images for clarity, work with radiologists, and document procedures accurately
- Respond promptly to emergencies, support other staff, and help maintain department operations
- Participate in staff training and ongoing education
