Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT or equivalent credentials
  • Active state radiologic technologist license as required
  • Demonstrated experience operating CT imaging equipment in a clinical setting
  • Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging protocols
  • Commitment to maintaining patient safety and adhering to imaging best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scans based on physician orders while ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic purposes
  • Properly position patients and provide clear instructions to ensure comfort and safety
  • Accurately operate and maintain CT scanning equipment, troubleshooting basic technical issues
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety and infection control protocols
  • Review and verify patient identification, imaging requisitions, and clinical histories
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize workflow and patient outcomes
  • Document imaging procedures and patient data in accordance with facility policies
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe imaging environment
