Take the next step in your imaging career specializing in CT procedures within a collaborative healthcare environment. This contract opportunity focuses on performing advanced computerized tomographic imaging and general radiology tasks under the guidance of experienced radiologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clearly explain CT and radiology procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process.
  • Review clinical requisition data and, when necessary, gather additional medical history to inform imaging decisions.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, check and restock necessary supplies and linens.
  • Analyze patient anatomy, set up CT equipment, and execute precise scans according to physician protocols.
  • Operate imaging machinery manually and administer intravenous contrast media, monitoring for and responding to patient reactions effectively.
  • Set up and maintain sterile equipment and necessary supplies for specialized and complex procedures, such as biopsies.
  • Assist radiologists with challenging diagnostic procedures, ensuring exemplary clinical and technical support.
  • Apply and maintain rigorous radiation safety and ALARA standards for every examination.
  • Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS, confirming all studies are accurately indexed and complete in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists to review clinical protocols prior to studies, ensuring optimal imaging quality.
  • Uphold high standards of team cooperation, positive communication, innovation, and respect for diversity.
  • Complete thorough and accurate clinical documentation within medical and radiology information systems.

Qualifications:

  • Certification and licensure as a CT Technologist.
  • Experience operating CT scanners and digital imaging systems.
  • IV contrast administration and monitoring abilities.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and patient care skills.
  • Familiarity with PACS and RIS preferred.
  • Commitment to exemplary professional standards and ongoing learning.
