CT Technologist - Brooklyn, NY

A dynamic hospital imaging department seeks a skilled professional experienced in both CT and PET imaging. This part-time contract position is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable technologist passionate about high-quality diagnostic care.

Schedule:

• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State license
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Current CT certification
• Previous experience working in a hospital imaging environment
• Proficiency in operating CT and PET/CT scanners, performing imaging procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout
• Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold strict quality standards

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform CT and PET/CT imaging examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures
• Monitor image quality, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot equipment as needed
• Accurately document all relevant patient and scan information in the electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists to ensure seamless patient care and workflow
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer and hospital standards
• Adhere to all infection prevention, radiation safety, and regulatory guidelines
