A dynamic hospital imaging department seeks a skilled professional experienced in both CT and PET imaging. This part-time contract position is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable technologist passionate about high-quality diagnostic care.
Schedule:
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State license
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Current CT certification
- Previous experience working in a hospital imaging environment
- Proficiency in operating CT and PET/CT scanners, performing imaging procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout
- Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold strict quality standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and PET/CT imaging examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures
- Monitor image quality, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot equipment as needed
- Accurately document all relevant patient and scan information in the electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists to ensure seamless patient care and workflow
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer and hospital standards
- Adhere to all infection prevention, radiation safety, and regulatory guidelines
