Make an impact as an experienced imaging technologist, specializing in CT and CT/PET procedures. This part-time opportunity offers a dynamic schedule with shifts on Monday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM and Saturday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. This contract position enables you to leverage your technical skills in a hospital environment, supporting essential diagnostic services for patient care.
Qualifications:
- Valid NYS Radiologic Technologist License
- ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required
- CT Certification required
- Previous experience working in a hospital setting with CT and/or PET imaging
- Ability to work independently on overnight weekend and weekday shifts
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Detailed understanding of imaging safety protocols
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT and CT/PET imaging equipment according to established protocols
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate image acquisition and patient positioning
- Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear explanations and ensuring comfort
- Maintain accurate patient records and submit imaging results for diagnosis
- Follow all hospital and imaging department safety and infection control standards
- Monitor and evaluate equipment to ensure optimal performance and timely maintenance
