Seeking an experienced CT/PET Technologist with strong imaging expertise to support a busy department for a 13-week contract. This role requires a candidate who thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment and is open to exploring long-term or perm opportunities after the contract period. The position is based in Brooklyn, NY.
Schedule:
- 5 shifts of 8 hours each week (Days)
- Specific shifts and days will be discussed during the interview process.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current ARRT(CT) certification required
- Active New York State license in radiologic technology
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required
- Demonstrated proficiency in CT and PET/CT imaging modalities
- Previous experience in a medical imaging environment preferred
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic clinical team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate high-quality CT and PET/CT scans as ordered by physicians
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process
- Operate imaging equipment with strict adherence to protocols and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and thorough patient records
- Ensure proper functioning, cleaning, and maintenance of imaging equipment
