Key Qualifications:

• Experience operating CT imaging equipment in a healthcare or hospital setting
• Proficiency in general diagnostic radiology, with specialized knowledge of computerized tomographic procedures
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
• Ability to administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for patient reactions
• Skilled in using PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) for image management and documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including patient education and teamwork
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Registered and Certified CT Technologist credentials required

Key Responsibilities:

• Explain CT examination procedures and prepare patients for scans
• Review clinical data, requisitions, and confirm medical histories
• Set up procedure rooms, maintain adequate supplies, and ensure appropriate equipment function
• Perform CT scans, manually control equipment, and analyze imaging results
• Safely administer contrast media, monitor patients, and respond to any adverse reactions
• Assist radiologists with complex and sterile procedures, including biopsies
• Rigorously implement radiation protection protocols for both patients and staff
• Resolve image issues within PACS, assure quality, and complete accurate study documentation in RIS
• Uphold standards of excellence, open communication, and respect for diversity in all interactions
