Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as a CT Technologist (ARRT-CT required)
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical imaging environment
- Proficiency with CT equipment, protocols, and safety standards
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and patient positioning
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT imaging equipment to acquire accurate diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process
- Monitor and document patient information, procedure details, and imaging results
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver precise diagnostic outcomes
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures at all times
- Provide empathetic patient care and educate patients about their procedures
