This travel assignment in the Imaging - CT specialty introduces you to an environment where teamwork, innovation, and advanced technology drive exceptional patient care. Gain exposure to a highly accredited, stroke-capable facility equipped with the latest in imaging technology—including three Siemens scanners and advanced power injectors—while working alongside radiology nursing support. The role supports diverse patient populations from the ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient units, with frequent participation in CT-guided invasive procedures and advanced cardiac imaging. Fine-tune your skills and broaden your experience within interdisciplinary teams and a supportive department, expanding your resume with procedures and practices unique to this bustling medical center.
Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible departmental orientation: 2 days to 1 week (weekdays, even for weekend roles)
- Administrative onboarding: 1 day
- Average 160 studies per weekday, 120 on weekends
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ CT imaging experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- Valid ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology with advanced CT registry
- Active BLS certification
- Competence in starting peripheral IVs, arterial/venous phase scanning, multiphase imaging, stroke and colorectal studies
- Familiarity with TeraRecon preferred
- Must live at least 50 miles away from assignment location
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT studies across patient care areas
- Provide supportive care during invasive procedures and cardiac CT imaging
- Operate Siemens Definition AS 40, Siemens Force, and Siemens Edge+ scanners
- Document assessments and procedures in Epic EMR and manage images within Philips iSite PACS
