Take on a dynamic role using advanced technology as a CT Technologist in a high-acuity, multi-modality imaging department. In this position, you’ll contribute to patient care across a large, acute care facility with extensive radiology services, including stroke-accredited emergency care, observation, and inpatient units. This opportunity is offered on a contract basis for professionals seeking to broaden their experience while working alongside an expert, supportive team.
Schedule/Hours
- Department operates 7 days a week
- Cases performed on day shift, including cardiac CT imaging
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a CT Technologist
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
- BLS certification required
- Comfortable with ED, inpatient, outpatient, observation, and anesthesia cases
- Proficient with peripheral IV placement, multi-phase and venous/arterial phase scanning, stroke imaging (including perfusion), and colorectal studies
- Knowledge of TeraRecon highly preferred, but not required
- Willing to consider first-time travelers
- Must reside 50+ miles from primary unit
Responsibilities
- Perform a high volume of studies (approximately 160 per weekday, 120 on weekends)
- Conduct CT guided invasive procedures and cardiac CT imaging
- Collaborate with radiology nursing and guest services for inpatient and outpatient workflow
- Utilize Siemens Definition, Force, and Edge+ scanners and Bayer/Medrad power injectors
- Document accurately within EPIC EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS
- Work with interdisciplinary medical teams to support patient care, sometimes with anesthesia present
