Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a CT Technologist.
• Experience in imaging, specifically in CT.
• Ability to perform both CT and general diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
• Competency in administering intravenous contrast media and utilizing power injectors.
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems for image and information management.

Schedule:

• Contract-based role with full-time hours.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding.
• Review medical requisitions and obtain additional patient history as needed.
• Prepare procedure rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure a sterile environment.
• Set up equipment, conduct scans, and manually control imaging devices for optimal diagnostic results.
• Monitor patients during procedures, especially following the administration of contrast media, and provide immediate care if reactions occur.
• Assist radiologists with complex procedures such as biopsies, preparing and managing sterile equipment.
• Implement radiation safety protocols, including proper shielding and ALARA principles.
• Manage imaging workflow in PACS, ensuring high quality images and accurate recordkeeping.
• Maintain up-to-date and precise documentation within medical and radiology information systems.
