Advance your imaging career as an experienced CT Technologist, specializing in computerized tomographic radiological procedures and general diagnostic radiology examinations. This contract role involves working under general supervision, delivering high-quality patient care, and supporting complex diagnostic procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current registration as a CT Technologist (ARRT)
  • Experience with computerized tomography and general diagnostic radiology exams
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
  • Competency in administering intravenous contrast media
  • Ability to provide immediate care should a patient reaction occur
  • Strong skills in using PACS and RIS systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain CT procedures to patients, preparing them and ensuring comfort throughout the process
  • Review clinical data and perform appropriate imaging examinations, gathering additional patient history as needed
  • Prepare procedure rooms, replenish supplies, and ensure sterile equipment is ready for use
  • Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and manually conduct CT scans for high-quality diagnostic images
  • Administer and monitor contrast media, responding swiftly to patient reactions if necessary
  • Assist radiologists in performing complex, sterile diagnostic procedures including biopsies
  • Implement radiation protection practices for patient and staff safety
  • Resolve image exceptions and manage delivery of high-quality images into PACS, confirming image accuracy
  • Complete all study documentation and indexing in both medical records and radiology information systems
  • Maintain excellence and professionalism in teamwork, communication, and general conduct
