Schedule/Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • No on-call requirements

Key Qualifications

  • Active BLS certification required
  • West Virginia X-ray license (may apply post-offer)
  • WV CARES certification required before starting
  • Prefer ARRT (CT) certification or minimum 3-5 years CT tech experience
  • Experience in starting IVs
  • Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced setting
  • First-time travelers welcome
  • Valid, unexpired driver’s license needed at submission

Responsibilities

  • Operate advanced GE VCT and Siemens Somatom 64-slice CT scanners across two CT rooms
  • Perform a wide range of studies: head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and biopsies (trained onsite if needed)
  • Set up sterile trays and administer or assist with premedications, working closely with nursing support
  • Manage an average of 65 scans per day
  • Accurately document cases using Community Works EMR and Intellirad/Intelliconnect PACS
  • Collaborate with onsite radiologists during the day and remote coverage overnight
  • Adhere to department safety and infection control standards

Additional Details

  • 2:2:3 block scheduling rotates between multiple shift options; occasional weekends and holidays may be required
  • Five-shift orientation with a dedicated preceptor ensures a supported start
  • Scrubs in any color (clean and professional); Emerald Green matches permanent staff, if desired
  • Support readily available from Imaging Director and Lead Tech
