CT Tech CT Technologist - Clinton Township, Michigan

Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a CT Technologist, performing advanced imaging procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This contract position specializes in computerized tomographic (CT) imaging, and also involves occasional general diagnostic radiology support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical skill, strong communication, and independence in completing their duties and maintaining exceptional patient care.

Schedule:

• 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
• Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

• Current BLS certification
• ARRT and CT certification required
• Proven experience as a CT Tech, with the ability to work independently
• In-depth understanding of radiology safety standards and CT protocols
• Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Clearly explain CT examination procedures and prepare patients for imaging
• Review clinical requisitions, gather relevant medical histories, and ensure the appropriate imaging exam is performed
• Set up and replenish procedure rooms, maintaining necessary stocks of equipment and sterile supplies
• Accurately operate CT scanners to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Administer intravenous contrast agents, monitor for adverse reactions, and provide immediate care if needed
• Prepare sterile equipment and assist radiologists during complex procedures, such as biopsies
• Adhere diligently to radiation protection protocols, including the use of shieldings and ALARA techniques
• Manage PACS workflow by verifying image quality, handling exceptions, and confirming file completeness
• Complete study documentation and indexing within RIS to support all clinical, compliance, and billing functions
• Consistently uphold professional standards in customer service, communication, and teamwork
• Collaborate with radiologists to confirm and follow protocols for advanced CT studies
