Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • ARRT (CT) certification or equivalent required
  • Proven experience performing CT and PET scans in a clinical environment
  • Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot CT and PET imaging equipment with confidence
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to safe radiation practices and patient confidentiality
  • Skilled at communicating with patients and healthcare staff in a professional manner

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality CT and PET imaging studies according to physician orders and departmental procedures
  • Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably, explaining procedures clearly and addressing concerns
  • Monitor patients during procedures, observing for reactions or complications
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain precise records within hospital systems
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other staff to ensure timely delivery of results
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety
  • Support workflow by managing scheduling, maintaining supply inventory, and assisting with department needs
