Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a CT Technologist; PET certification strongly preferred
  • Registered with ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (PET)
  • At least one year of recent experience in CT or PET imaging, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic imaging center
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting CT and PET equipment
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and infection control standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to support and reassure patients throughout the process

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT and PET scans according to physician orders and departmental protocol
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
  • Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any issues promptly
  • Accurately document patient information and scan results in electronic medical records
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and coordinate care
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards for radiation safety and infection prevention
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear instructions to patients before, during, and after procedures
