Qualifications and Experience:

  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography required
  • Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
  • Prior experience operating CT and CT/PET imaging equipment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
  • Proficient in patient positioning and scanning techniques
  • Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and infection control standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Current BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain CT and CT/PET imaging systems following established protocols
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians
  • Prepare and position patients to ensure accuracy and safety during scans
  • Monitor patients during procedures, responding to questions and concerns
  • Evaluate images for technical quality prior to submission for interpretation
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in accordance with facility policies
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and colleagues
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards and facility safety procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers regarding scan findings and patient care
