Advance your career in diagnostic imaging with a contract opportunity for a skilled CT technologist. This position focuses on providing high-quality care and expertise in computerized tomographic procedures, with responsibilities spanning patient preparation to assisting with complex diagnostic procedures. The role utilizes advanced imaging technology and requires collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional service.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Every other weekend required
  • Block scheduling available
  • No on-call shifts

Qualifications:

  • Must hold current ARRT (CT) certification and BLS certification
  • Completion of required educational program
  • A minimum of 1 year of CT technologist experience
  • Experience operating GE and OEC C-arm equipment, and Carestream portables
  • Proficiency with PACS and RIS systems

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct CT scans and general radiology procedures according to protocol, utilizing best practices in patient safety and radiation protection
  • Explain procedures to patients, confirm clinical histories, and ensure their comfort throughout examinations
  • Prepare rooms, maintain supply levels, and set up equipment and sterile fields as required
  • Administer contrast media using power injectors, monitor for adverse reactions, and provide necessary care
  • Collaborate with radiologists on complex diagnostic procedures, including biopsies
  • Ensure accurate documentation in medical records and radiology information systems
  • Uphold high standards of communication, teamwork, and professionalism
