CT Tech CT Technologist - Detroit, Michigan

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a CT Technologist
• Proficiency with advanced imaging equipment and CT procedures
• Knowledge of general diagnostic radiology protocols
• Ability to administer intravenous contrast media, utilizing safety precautions
• Familiarity with sterile technique and assisting in interventional procedures
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Experience with PACS and RIS systems preferred
• Commitment to safety, including the principles of radiation protection (e.g., ALARA techniques)
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and workflow in both electronic medical records and imaging platforms
• Demonstrated professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork

Key Responsibilities:

• Explain CT examination procedures clearly and compassionately to patients, preparing them for each step
• Review clinical data and patient history, adjusting protocols as needed for optimal results
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring adequate stock and readiness for both routine and complex cases
• Operate CT scanners manually for precise and diagnostically valuable images
• Administer and monitor intravenous contrast safely; respond to patient reactions promptly
• Set up and assist with sterile procedures, supporting Radiologists in complex studies
• Manage imaging data in PACS, resolving exceptions and ensuring completeness
• Index and complete studies in the Radiology Information System
• Verify clinical protocols with Radiologists before procedures
• Document thoroughly and accurately to support both clinical operations and compliance
• Consistently uphold organizational standards of professionalism, communication, and quality
