A skilled Radiologic Technologist with experience in CT and X-ray is needed for a night shift contract role. This opportunity offers the chance to work with advanced imaging equipment, support diagnostic care, and demonstrate expertise in both CT and PET technology over a 13-week period.
Schedule:
- Night shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday
Key Qualifications:
- Current New York State (NYS) Radiologic Technologist license
- Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Injection certification required
- Demonstrated experience in imaging, specifically in CT, X-ray, and PET techniques
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to radiation and patient care
- Commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic images with attention to patient comfort and safety
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively on night shifts
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate CT and X-ray equipment and conduct PET imaging procedures as needed
- Prepare patients for exams, clearly explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and technical factors for optimal imaging results
- Safely administer contrast injections following established protocols
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support high standards of diagnostic imaging
- Adhere to infection control and departmental safety policies
