An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled technologist proficient in Imaging – CT and CT/PET procedures in a dynamic radiology department. This contract position offers a flexible shift structure and the chance to work within a collaborative and innovative clinical environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day, evening, weekend, or overnight availability required
- Flexible scheduling with 4-, 8-, or 12-hour shifts
- 7 days on, 7 days off rotational schedule
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in CT and CT/PET imaging technologies
- Ability to independently perform general radiology exams, including x-rays, fluoroscopy procedures, portable studies, and operating room imaging
- Valid certification and current credentials as required for radiologic technologists
- Thorough understanding of safety protocols and best practices specific to clinical imaging
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient care and staff collaboration
- Experience in acute hospital or high-volume clinical settings preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate CT and CT/PET scanners to acquire high-quality images as ordered by clinicians
- Adapt and adjust protocols for specific clinical indications or patient needs
- Perform a variety of radiologic exams, including routine and complex imaging techniques
- Maintain detailed patient records in alignment with healthcare regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to support optimal diagnostic outcomes
- Uphold rigorous standards for infection control and radiation safety at all times
