Schedule:
- Night shifts: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 5x8-hour shifts per week
- Every third weekend required
- Holidays as needed
- No on-call
- Flexibility with scheduling
This position empowers you to master advanced CT imaging techniques while developing new skills in a high-acuity environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex CT procedures, producing cross-sectional and 3D images for interpretation.
- Obtain and document patients’ clinical history; ensure accuracy and imaging protocol adherence.
- Prepare and review contrast questionnaires and administer contrast media per protocols.
- Communicate with radiologists and referring physicians to verify exam appropriateness.
- Manage insurance authorizations, exam scripts, and scheduling of comparison studies.
- Provide exam copies as needed to patients and physicians.
- Evaluate radiographs for accurate identification and diagnostic value via PACS.
- Prep patients for scanning, utilizing appropriate shielding and immobilization devices.
- Provide clear instructions and explanations; address all patient concerns.
- Perform and manage IV procedures and monitor patients during and after scanning.
- Follow departmental standards for patient care, safety, attendance, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Previous CAT scan/CT experience required.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced CT protocols and imaging safety.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push/pull 50 lbs., and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and adaptability for diverse patient needs.
