Qualifications:
- Registered with ARRT (CT) or equivalent credential for CT/PET technologist
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing both CT and PET/CT examinations
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
- Experience with quality control procedures and radiation safety standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT and PET/CT scanners to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring understanding and comfort
- Accurately position patients and administer contrast agents when necessary
- Monitor patient safety and maintain adherence to infection control measures
- Analyze images for technical quality, coordinating with radiologists as needed
- Document scans, maintain accurate records, and update electronic health information systems
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Follow all regulatory guidelines and facility protocols
