Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered technologist with credentials in CT and PET imaging (ARRT or equivalent)
  • Previous experience performing both CT and PET/CT scans in a clinical environment
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Proficiency with imaging protocols, safety standards, and radiation safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-quality CT and PET scans according to physician orders and departmental procedures
  • Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure
  • Operate imaging equipment expertly, troubleshooting as needed
  • Evaluate images for clarity and quality prior to submission for interpretation
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and patients
  • Support the daily operational flow of the imaging department, including equipment checks and inventory upkeep
