Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification as a CT Technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
- Experience operating CT and PET/CT imaging equipment
- Proven skill in preparing and positioning patients for imaging procedures
- Detailed understanding of radiation safety protocols and compliance practices
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Ability to analyze imaging results and collaborate with radiologists and other care providers
- Previous experience in a hospital or high-volume imaging center is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and PET/CT scans in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
- Ensure accurate patient identification, thorough documentation, and meticulous record-keeping
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed to ensure optimal functionality
- Follow stringent safety procedures to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Assist providers with procedures when required and respond calmly to urgent/emergent situations
- Deliver clear explanations to patients regarding procedures, addressing any questions or concerns
