Key Qualifications:

  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification required
  • Previous experience performing CT and PET/CT scans in a healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of radiologic safety, protocols, and patient positioning
  • Familiarity with picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise imaging instructions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist license in good standing
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality CT and PET/CT imaging procedures as ordered by physicians
  • Prepare patients for exams, thoroughly explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Operate and maintain imaging and ancillary equipment in accordance with established protocols
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring providers to ensure accurate and timely imaging results
  • Maintain accurate imaging records and follow HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information
  • Adhere to all infection control, quality, and safety standards within the imaging department
  • Participate in continuing education and training as required to maintain certifications
