Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program
- Current ARRT (CT) certification required
- California Radiologic Technologist license in good standing
- CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Minimum of one year of recent CT imaging experience
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, CT protocols, and patient positioning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT equipment to produce detailed diagnostic images as ordered by providers
- Carefully review patient medical histories and screen for safety in accordance with department protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and address questions or concerns
- Administer IV contrast agents when necessary and monitor for adverse reactions
- Adhere strictly to all safety, infection control, and privacy standards
- Accurately document procedures, maintain high-quality patient records, and participate in quality assurance activities
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize diagnostic outcomes
