As an integral member of the imaging department, you will use advanced diagnostic equipment and collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, high-quality results.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification and registration in CT Imaging Technology (ARRT CT or equivalent required)
- Current (or eligible) state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- Experience performing CT scans in a hospital or clinical setting
- Excellent knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT protocols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
Schedule:
- Contract position (duration discussed during interview)
- Flexible hours may be available based on department needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images as ordered by physicians
- Adhere to established protocols for image acquisition and patient safety, including appropriate use of shielding and reduction of scan times
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, providing clear instructions and reassurance
- Monitor patients during scans, recognizing and responding to any complications
- Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians to discuss findings and contribute to patient care decisions
- Maintain accurate patient records, equipment logs, and secure handling of confidential health information
