Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience with CT imaging equipment and procedures.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, with CT specialty preferred.
• Ability to administer intravenous contrast and respond to potential patient reactions.
• Strong understanding of radiology safety and radiation protection protocols (ALARA).
• Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems for efficient imaging workflow.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Explain CT exam procedures and prepare patients to ensure their comfort and understanding.
• Review requisitions and clinical data, perform exams, and gather additional patient history as needed.
• Set up equipment, prepare rooms, and ensure adequate inventory of supplies.
• Conduct complex CT scans, including the manual operation of imaging equipment.
• Manage IV contrast administration and provide immediate assistance in case of adverse reactions.
• Maintain a sterile environment and assist radiologists during specialized procedures (e.g., biopsies).
• Ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS and accurate study documentation within RIS.
• Collaborate professionally with colleagues, maintaining excellence in care, communication, and documentation.
