CT Technologist in Hammond, LA

Step into an engaging opportunity specializing in advanced diagnostic imaging for a 13-week contract starting mid-July. This role offers hands-on experience with both CT and PET imaging, providing critical diagnostic support in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating 3-on / 2-off pattern (with some variation)
• Shifts alternate between:
  • 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM (10.5 hours)
  • 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM (10.5 hours)

Desired Qualifications:

• Current ARRT(R) certification, with CT credential preferred
• Active BLS certification
• Louisiana Radiology License (required)
• Prior experience in both CT and PET technology
• Excellent attention to detail and comfort in fast-paced environments
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with patients and team members

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CT and PET equipment to deliver high-quality diagnostic images in a safe, timely manner
• Ensure patient comfort and maintain clear communication throughout the imaging process
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation safety measures and infection control
• Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain patient records per facility standards
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers for the best clinical outcome
• Adapt quickly to shift variations and rotating schedule
