CT Technologist - Hyattsville, Maryland

Take on a vital imaging role providing advanced diagnostic care using both CT and PET technology. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and is ideal for professionals committed to excellence in patient services and skilled in a range of diagnostic imaging procedures.

Schedule:

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
• Nights: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Sunday through Wednesday)

Qualifications:

• Current certification with ARRT
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency in CT and PET imaging modalities, including operation of imaging equipment and following safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously during night shifts
• Solid communication skills for clear patient interactions and teamwork with other clinical staff

Duties:

• Conduct high-quality CT and PET scans as prescribed, ensuring accurate, timely diagnostic images for physician review
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain process, and address questions to provide comfort and support
• Monitor patient during scans, maintain safety, and adapt techniques as needed for optimal image quality
• Accurately document procedures, patient data, and any procedural concerns
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area, reporting any malfunctions
• Collaborate with physicians and fellow technologists to ensure comprehensive care
