Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Certification by ARRT (CT) or equivalent
- Solid experience operating CT and PET/CT imaging equipment
- Strong understanding of anatomy, imaging techniques, and safety protocols
- Ability to maintain accurate patient records and follow imaging protocols
- Advance knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Current BLS certification
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and PET/CT scans according to physician orders and standardized protocols
- Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate image capture while maintaining comfort and safety
- Administer contrast agents as required, monitoring for adverse reactions
- Operate imaging equipment and troubleshoot minor technical issues
- Maintain accurate documentation, including patient histories and procedure details
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members for optimal care delivery
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing learning and adopt new technologies relevant to imaging
