A skilled CT and CT/PET Technologist is sought for a full-time contract assignment starting as soon as possible. This position requires expertise in advanced imaging techniques, focusing on both CT and PET modalities, supporting a busy clinical environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time hours
- 5.5 shifts per week, 8-hour nights (specific scheduling details provided at interview)
Key Qualifications:
- Current certification or registry in CT and PET imaging (ARRT (CT), NMTCB, or equivalent preferred)
- Prior experience operating CT and PET/CT systems in a healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
- Ability to work independently with safe and accurate patient positioning and image acquisition
- Detail-oriented with reliable documentation skills and adherence to privacy standards
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and PET/CT scans according to physician orders and department protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort
- Maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and monitor for optimal functionality
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff for efficient workflow
- Document and electronically store completed studies in line with facility requirements
