CT Technologist in Jamaica, NY

An opportunity is available for an experienced CT/PET Technologist with strong imaging expertise. Ideal candidates will have proven skills in operating both CT and PET scanning equipment, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to deliver high-quality imaging results in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Schedule:

• Part-time weekends only (Saturday & Sunday)
  • 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • 4:00pm – 12:00am

Qualifications:

• Certification and registration as a CT and/or PET Technologist by the appropriate accrediting body.
• Current licensure compliant with requirements.
• Hands-on experience with advanced CT and PET imaging procedures.
• Knowledge of imaging protocols, proper equipment settings, and patient positioning.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality CT and PET scans as ordered by medical staff.
• Prepare patients for procedures, confirming safety protocols and obtaining accurate histories.
• Operate imaging machinery, ensuring all technical standards and patient safety measures are met.
• Accurately document and label all results; maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate timely equipment maintenance as needed.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications during imaging.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient experience.
