CT Technologist in Jamaica, NY

Exciting opportunity available for an experienced CT/PET Technologist eager to work in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract role is ideal for a detail-oriented imaging professional ready to utilize expertise in computed tomography and positron emission tomography in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Schedule:

• Part-time hours
• Monday: 12AM–8AM
• Saturday: 12AM–8AM

Qualifications:

• Active New York State (NYS) licensure required
• ARRT certification mandatory
• CT Certification required
• Proven experience in a hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of CT and PET imaging protocols and safety procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members
• Demonstrated ability to work independently during overnight shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality CT and PET scans following physician orders and department protocols
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Assess images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists for prompt interpretation
• Maintain accurate imaging records and document relevant patient information
• Monitor equipment performance, report malfunctions, and assist with quality control
• Adhere to all applicable safety guidelines, infection control practices, and privacy regulations
