Exciting opportunity available for an experienced CT/PET Technologist eager to work in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract role is ideal for a detail-oriented imaging professional ready to utilize expertise in computed tomography and positron emission tomography in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Schedule:
- Part-time hours
- Monday: 12AM–8AM
- Saturday: 12AM–8AM
Qualifications:
- Active New York State (NYS) licensure required
- ARRT certification mandatory
- CT Certification required
- Proven experience in a hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of CT and PET imaging protocols and safety procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during overnight shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and PET scans following physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Assess images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists for prompt interpretation
- Maintain accurate imaging records and document relevant patient information
- Monitor equipment performance, report malfunctions, and assist with quality control
- Adhere to all applicable safety guidelines, infection control practices, and privacy regulations
