Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, ensuring safety and precision at every step
- Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions required for quality imaging
- Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce clear, diagnostic-quality images
- Confirm patient identification, verify orders, and prepare patients for exams according to protocols
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines, infection control, and sterile techniques to protect patients and staff
- Review images for clarity and completeness, ensuring all required anatomical structures are captured
- Complete studies efficiently within established timeframes without compromising care or quality
- Communicate exam results and pertinent patient information with interdisciplinary care teams
- Accurately record patient data, document procedures, maintain coding integrity, and manage equipment issues
- Administer contrast media per protocol under appropriate supervision, providing patient education regarding safety
- Instruct students and fellow technologists in techniques, equipment operation, and protocols
- Pursue ongoing professional development and education in advanced CT technology and best practices
Qualifications:
- Current ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
- Previous experience in a CT imaging role preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards
