Qualifications & Experience:
- Current ARRT (CT) certification required
- State radiologic technologist licensure
- Competency in creating and maintaining high-quality CT images
- Minimum of one year of recent experience operating CT equipment in a clinical setting
- Thorough knowledge of hospital radiology department protocols and safety practices
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
- CPR certification (BLS) preferred
Schedule:
- Contract position with flexible shift options, including possible day, evening, or overnight rotations, as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of CT examinations with precision and attention to patient comfort
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining steps and answering questions to reduce anxiety
- Ensure compliance with all radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures
- Review and assess image quality, making technical adjustments as necessary
- Document procedures, update patient records, and communicate findings to physicians
- Collaborate with radiologists and other clinical team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment to uphold operational standards
