Deliver crucial diagnostic care as a skilled technologist in a busy CT department, working with advanced GE Optimas equipment. This contract role involves high-acuity trauma imaging and requires a compassionate approach, ensuring excellent patient experiences in a dynamic environment with three CT scanners.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification and Kansas state license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Demonstrated expertise operating GE CT scanners
  • Previous trauma experience in a hospital or acute care setting
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Flexible approach to scheduling and adapting to department needs
  • Familiarity with McKesson PACS and Meditech documentation systems
  • Able to wear black scrubs, per department protocol

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of CT exams, including trauma studies, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to deliver high-quality imaging services
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information using McKesson PACS and Meditech
  • Offer empathetic care, answering patient questions and ensuring comfort throughout exams
  • Adhere to infection control and departmental policies
  • Contribute to a collegial team environment, sometimes working with another technologist according to staffing needs
