Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current ARRT (CT) certification required
- Minimum of one year experience in CT imaging within a hospital or clinical setting
- Proficiency operating advanced CT equipment and software
- Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Current BLS certification
Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts and specific hours will be discussed during the interview process to align with department needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT examinations according to physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare and position patients for scans, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety
- Ensure all images meet diagnostic standards and are transferred accurately to the radiology information system
- Monitor and maintain all CT equipment, reporting any malfunctions as needed
- Practice appropriate radiation safety techniques to safeguard patients and staff
- Accurately document patient information and maintain detailed records in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with radiologists and other care team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
