Expertise in advanced CT and PET/CT imaging is sought for this dynamic contract opportunity, where you’ll provide safe, age-appropriate care and perform a diverse range of technical procedures. Flexibility, accountability, and cooperation are essential to deliver high-quality diagnostic services as part of a collaborative team. This role allows you to exercise independent judgment and expertise with modern imaging equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring accurate, high-quality studies.

Schedule:

  • Night shift
  • Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Active ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (acceptable: ARC-BLS or BLS-I)
  • Minimum one year of experience in Radiology (CT experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to provide clear patient instructions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Proficient in patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
  • Demonstrated competence in anatomy and pathology related to imaging procedures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all CT and PET/CT exams according to department protocols
  • Verify clinician orders, obtain clinical histories, and assess for contraindications
  • Administer contrast media safely, adhering to best practices and hospital policy
  • Review imaging results for clinical acceptability and release patients post-exam
  • Respond effectively to emergencies; maintain crash cart and assist with life support equipment
  • Prep, position, and transport patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control, equipment cleaning, and calibration regimens
  • Participate in orientation and training of new staff as needed
