Job Type Contract

Play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging by utilizing your skills in CT and CT/PET technology. This contract opportunity requires a dedicated professional who can ensure safe, age-appropriate care while adhering to department protocols and standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility with work hours to meet departmental needs and utilize independent judgment and initiative in the use of imaging equipment for disease diagnosis and treatment.

Schedule:

  • Night shift
  • Wednesday–Friday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certifications required
  • BLS certification (or equivalent)
  • At least 1 year of Radiology experience required; experience in CT preferred
  • Strong communication abilities, able to clearly explain procedures to patients and collaborate with physicians and staff
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and multitasking
  • Proven competency in all aspects of CT scanning, including positioning, exposure, radiation safety, and quality control

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a broad range of CT and PET imaging procedures independently, ensuring patient safety and quality results
  • Verify clinician orders, obtain clinical histories, and assess for contraindications
  • Administer and document contrast media as per protocols
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and release patients after procedure
  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout
  • Respond calmly and efficiently to emergency situations as needed
  • Adhere to proper sterile technique and uphold infection control standards
  • Communicate exam details to patients and answer questions clearly
  • Stay current with departmental and hospital-wide education requirements
