This contract role focuses on CT and PET imaging, supporting a major healthcare center with comprehensive trauma, NICU, and stroke services. You'll work 3x12 hour shifts from Friday through Sunday, collaborating with a skilled interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Schedule Details:
- Shifts: 3 x 12 hours, Friday through Sunday
Preferred Credentials & Experience:
- ARRT certification required (ARRT-CT for CT Techs)
- BLS certification required for all candidates
- State license preferred
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience (strong skills required); first-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Biopsy drainage, trauma, and angiogram competencies (required)
- Strongly preferred: stroke perfusion proficiency
- Experience with both adult and occasional pediatric populations in inpatient/outpatient settings
Responsibilities:
- Conduct CT and CT/PET imaging for a diverse range of patients, averaging 4 scans per hour
- Perform specialized procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and trauma imaging
- Utilize GE CT scanners and document in Cerner EMR
- Float within various areas of the main Radiology department as needed
- Participate in orientation (one 8-hour hospital session plus 2-3 on-unit training days)
- Cover one major and one minor holiday per facility policy (not guaranteed off dates); voluntary on-call available
- Support the facility's commitment to high-quality, patient-focused care
