Computed Tomography Tech | Millbrook, Alabama

This role offers an opportunity to work as a CT/PET Technologist in a well-equipped Level II Trauma Center providing comprehensive imaging services. The position is a contract assignment located in Millbrook, AL, with a focused shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from Friday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic CT scans, including biopsy drainage, trauma cases, angiograms, and stroke perfusion imaging.
• Provide imaging services for both inpatient and outpatient populations, including adults and occasional pediatric patients.
• Utilize GE CT imaging technology and document procedures in the Cerner EMR system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate, timely imaging results.
• Support various areas within the main Radiology department, with floating responsibilities throughout the hospital.
• Participate in a thorough orientation including a one-day hospital overview and 2-3 shifts alongside a day-shift technologist.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• ARRT certification in CT required; state licensure preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• At least one year of strong experience as a CT/PET Technologist; first-time travelers welcome with a minimum of two years’ experience.
• Proficiency in advanced CT imaging techniques such as biopsy drainage, trauma imaging, angiograms, and preferred experience in stroke perfusion studies.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a 1:1 patient ratio and seeing approximately 40 patients per day.

Schedule and Additional Details:

• Shift: 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts (Friday through Sunday).
• No night float or overnight shifts required.
• Holiday scheduling includes one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy, with voluntary on-call opportunities.
• Contract opportunity with competitive pay rate and 5% premium.
