Take the next step in your imaging career by supporting a busy, high-acuity hospital setting with a primary focus on CT and CT/PET technology. This contract opportunity utilizes advanced diagnostic skills to deliver care to a diverse patient population across inpatient, outpatient, adult, and occasional pediatric cases. The position follows a convenient 3x12 schedule—Fridays through Sundays.
Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Key Qualifications:
- BLS and ARRT certifications required
- ARRT(CT) credential required for CT Technologists
- Active state licensure preferred
- One year of strong, relevant experience (at least two years for first-time travelers)
- Proficiency in CT procedures including biopsy, drainage, trauma, angiogram; stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR and GE CT equipment
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and CT/PET imaging for diverse patient types with accuracy and efficiency
- Float as needed within the main radiology department in various specialty areas
- Meet patient care demands for both inpatients and outpatients, including emergency and pediatric cases
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio, averaging 4 patients per hour
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a large 492-bed facility, including a Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
- Complete an orientation consisting of an 8-hour hospital overview and several shadow shifts
Additional Details:
- Holiday coverage: One major and one minor holiday may be required per policy, pending final schedule
- Weekend rotation typically once per month (subject to change)
- On-call is voluntary
