Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with primary certification in CT
- Demonstrated experience performing CT and CT/PET imaging in a healthcare setting
- Strong grasp of cross-sectional anatomy, positioning, and imaging protocols
- Proficiency with maintaining and calibrating advanced imaging equipment
- Ability to prioritize patient safety and comfort while ensuring accurate image acquisition
- Effective communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, and support staff
- Current BLS certification
Schedule:
- Full-time hours aligning with department needs; specific shifts to be discussed
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT and PET/CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Prepare and position patients with sensitivity, ensuring safety and minimal discomfort
- Administer contrast materials and monitor patient reactions according to protocol
- Accurately document procedures and maintain detailed imaging records within electronic health systems
- Assist with workflow efficiency in a busy imaging department
- Stay current with advances in imaging procedures and safety guidelines
- Address patient questions related to the imaging process, providing reassurance and professionalism
