CT Tech CT Technologist in New Britain, CT

Qualifications:

• Current ARRT (CT) certification required
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Active CT state licensure or eligibility
• Demonstrated experience operating CT scanners, performing a range of diagnostic procedures
• Current BLS certification
• Strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow safety protocols
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract assignment
• Weekday and/or weekend shifts as required by department

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT scans as ordered by physicians, ensuring the highest image quality and adhering to department protocols
• Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for diagnostic procedures
• Assess and screen patients for contraindications such as allergies or prior imaging exposures
• Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures in compliance with facility guidelines
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and physicians to deliver responsive, patient-centered care
• Troubleshoot technical issues with imaging equipment and notify appropriate support as needed
• Observe strict infection control and radiation safety policies to protect patients and staff
