Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current certification as a CT or CT/PET Technologist (ARRT preferred)
• Active state license appropriate to position requirements
• Demonstrated proficiency operating CT and PET/CT scanners
• Knowledge of imaging protocols and quality control procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
• Ability to follow detailed imaging instructions and safety protocols accurately
• Previous experience in a hospital or large-scale imaging facility preferred

Schedule:

• Contract position with flexible day and evening shifts available, depending on department needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Effectively perform CT and PET/CT scans, ensuring imaging quality and patient comfort
• Prepare patients for imaging, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
• Collaborate with the radiology team to interpret requests and adapt protocols as necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient data, and scan results
• Adhere rigorously to radiation safety standards for patients and healthcare personnel
• Conduct regular equipment checks and report malfunctions as needed
• Assist with routine department functions and cross-train as appropriate
