CT Technologist - New York, New York

Seeking a skilled imaging professional with expertise in CT and CT/PET technology for a part-time, contract opportunity focused exclusively on weekends. In this pivotal role, you will play a vital part in supporting patient care and diagnostic accuracy by performing advanced imaging procedures.

Available shifts include:

• Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Saturdays and Sundays, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CT and CT/PET imaging equipment according to established protocols and safety standards.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and clear communication throughout the process.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to obtain optimal images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
• Monitor and maintain equipment performance, conducting quality control procedures as required.
• Respond promptly to any patient concerns or complications, ensuring the highest standard of care.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification/licensure as a CT Technologist, with demonstrated experience in both CT and PET/CT modalities.
• Prior experience in a hospital or clinical imaging environment strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently during weekend shifts while collaborating as part of a wider healthcare team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient service skills.
