Embark on a critical healthcare assignment as a CT Technologist, specializing in state-of-the-art imaging modalities, to provide high-quality diagnostic support in a dynamic emergency room environment.
Schedule:
- 13-week contract
- 40 hours per week
- Alternating shifts:
- Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (11:30pm–10:00am)
- Week 2: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (11:30pm–10:00am)
- No on-call requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Active RI state license (allow 3-4 weeks for licensing if not current)
- Current RT(R)(CT) registry and BLS certification
- Previous experience as a CT/PET Technologist, with strong knowledge in both Siemens Definition AS+ and GE VCT 64 Slice equipment
- Proficiency in operating Medrad injectors
- Familiarity with EPIC EHR and GE PACS systems is preferred
- COVID and flu vaccines required; medical declination accepted for booster only (no religious declinations)
- Ability to adapt to emergency room pace and protocols
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT scans primarily in the emergency department while adhering to safe radiologic practices
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and protocol selection, adapting to urgent clinical needs
- Operate imaging equipment and troubleshoot minor technical issues
- Collaborate closely with ER physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedures in EPIC, ensuring data integrity and compliance with hospital policies
- Uphold rigorous infection control standards and HIPAA compliance
- Wear scrubs (no hooded sweatshirts) according to hospital dress code
