Qualifications/Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Proven experience operating both CT and PET imaging equipment
- Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong attention to patient safety and infection control standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for CT and PET imaging procedures according to established protocols
- Operate imaging equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality images for interpretation
- Review patient histories and maintain accurate documentation in medical records systems
- Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to changes in condition when necessary
- Ensure proper handling and administration of contrast materials or radiopharmaceuticals
- Perform routine quality assurance and equipment maintenance
- Uphold all policies related to patient confidentiality, safety, and infection control
